It is produced primarily from wines from Fonseca’s own quintas in the Cima Corgo and thus shows an exceptional quality and consistency from year to year. Blended from reserve wines selected for their superb fruit character and depth of color, it’s well-knit structure, rich, velvety full body and luscious blackcurrant and cherry flavors, also dominant in the bouquet, finish on an intense, lingering note.

Country: Portugal - Although quite small, Portugal produces a great variety of wines ranging from light and fizzy Vinho Verde to hearty and tannic Port. Portugal is Europe's fourth-largest wine-producing region, and has been exporting its wine since the 14th century. The Douro Valley of Portugal is the original and current home for the world's finest Port. The valley spans from east of the city of Oporto all the way to the border of Spain and is the country’s best known wine region. Lesser-appreciated DOCs like Bairrada and Dão area also emerging for their fine, rustic reds.
Sub-Region: Port - Port is a fortified wine made by stopping the fermentation with brandy. The result is a heavy sweet wine, most often red, that is dense, rich and high in alcohol. Port is made all over the world with some great results in Australia and South Africa, but the most famous of these dessert wines come from Portugal. The great port houses (or lodges) are located along the Duoro River on the steep slate slopes high above the valley floor. There are several styles of port, including Ruby, Tawny, Vintage Character, Late Bottle Vintage, Colheita, and Single Quinta. Vintage ports are made in special years that the houses declare.

Sight: Dark ruby red with tight and sticky tears.
Nose: Licorice, alcohol, blackberry, and bouquet aromas.
Taste: Sweet full-bodied red wine. Spicy, persimmon and silky-like texture. Mouth-filling. It is worth to buy more as dessert or apertif, even try it alone.

Fonseca Porto Bin No27 的瓶身漆黑中帶著閃亮, 給于人陳年酒的質感與新酒的亮麗, 酒液呈現深深地紅寶石色澤, Tear 則呈現細細地柱狀有著粘滯係數很高的表現, 氣味上先是散發著濃濃的酒精味, 緊接著是甘油, 黑莓與有點年份地酒味, 入口後是強烈的酒精感攜帶著甜味一起上市, 再三地在口中來回的咀嚼, 絲綢般地口感中夾雜著少許的辛辣, 再嚐一口竟出現柿子的味道, 而圓潤的單寧更加地增添整體層次的精采度, 重度酒體, 唯一缺少的是酸澀度, 是一款很能搭配甜度高的點心或是用來當開胃酒, 值得再買一些來喝!!
