Campbells Rutherglen Muscat is a wonderful "sticky" from Campbells Wines, in the renowned Rutherglen region of Victoria. Founded in 1870, Campbells is owned and operated by 4th generation brothers Malcolm (viticulturist) and Colin (winemaker). Robert Parker calls this dessert wine “a remarkable effort with levels of texture and richness that must be tasted to be believed.” Indulge yourself!

RP Comment:
"The dense amber-colored non-vintage Muscat exhibits a sweet nose of toffee, maple syrup, and figs along with huge body, and no cloying sweetness because of good acidity."

Personal Comment:
昨晚試著想要把小酒櫃的空間騰出, 有所謂:"柿子檢軟的吃, 酒 從小罐的下手." 那就以此款的酒先嚐為快, 酒液呈現蜂蜜琥珀的色澤, 輕輕的搖晃會有那瓊漿玉液濃稠的深刻感受, 開瓶後, 香味五彩紛呈, 幾乎是一擁而上, 有種甜蜜蜜幾近乎令人窒息, 這時心有所感, "濃情密意乃是人間一大樂事, 但是要如何拿捏分寸與長久的維持, 可就需要時間與智慧去揣摩." 酒一入口, 太妃糖, 蜂蜜, 還有那少許薑母般的辣, 與焦糖般的甜不斷地在舌上徘廻不已, 更難能可貴的是, 它帶著些微的酸度, 有如撥雲見日般, 使得膩的化不開的甜味, 得以適度的舒緩下來, 這不就是愛情的真實寫照嗎? 只可惜我只懂得那膩的化不開的甜, 而學不會適時地掌握那撥雲見日的酸, 所以總是品嚐的很辛苦.
這款酒還有一個姊妹, 名為Tokay, 都是Full-Body type of dessert wine, 也都很值得去細細品味.
