Our Robert Mondavi Private Selection 2002 Sauvignon Blanc is a crisp, refreshing wine crafted from grapes grown in California’s Central Coast appellation. The cool Pacific Ocean breezes slow ripening of Sauvignon Blanc grapes in the vineyards of Monterey and Santa Barbara Counties, giving this wine vibrant citrus, melon, tropical fruit, mineral and floral character. Aging on the yeast (sur lie) provides a rich texture to balance the bright acidity. Served lightly chilled, our Sauvignon Blanc is delicious to sip with appetizers, salads and many entrees, especially grilled seafood, pork and chicken. Our favorites include rare grilled ahi tuna coated with sesame seeds, calamari, and lemon chicken. Oysters on the half shell with our Sauvignon Blanc? Definitely!

WS Comment:
Exhibits vibrant flavors and crisp acidity with fruit aromas that remind you of citrus, pear and melon. This North Coast wine has a hint of spice that adds interest with each sip. We often call Sauvignon Blanc the chameleon wine because it matches with so many foods, each bringing out the wines nuances.

Personal Commnet:
Sight: Light golden like color of sparkling drink without bubble. Cork has very classie design from touching although it is made by plastic material.
Nose: Butter with light toast oaky aroma. Also, it is very fruity with tropical style assorted. In addition, this aroma is composed of apple, flora and mineral flavors.
Taste: Spicy from the first attempt. High volume of alcohol is running out together. Later on, it contains light sweet and crisp taste. Pretty refreshing. A full-body wine. Recommend this as a good party companion.
